Konstanty is an attorney-at-law and a graduate of Wroclaw University, he has over 15 years experience in providing legal advisory services to business and local government entities. At the BTA Office, he is the Partner responsible for issues concerning labour law, corporate law and reorganization. Prior to joining BTA, Konstanty worked for over 12 years in international law firms, reaching partner position, managing local offices and was a leader in leading labour law practices in Poland. Konstanty works in Polish, English and German.
Professional Experience

The main area of Konstanty’s competence is the labour law – both in the scope of court cases (he has represented clients in hundreds of cases in the scope of labour law and social insurance), and also in non-disputable individual and collective cases. In his career, Konstanty advised in shaping individual employment contracts, especially for management, drafting contracts and other employee related documents, implementing and changing company’s employment regulations (collective labour agreement, work and remuneration regulations, employee benefit fund regulations), negotiations with trade unions and employee representatives, implementing motivation models, work-time optimization, due-diligence, implementation of PPE and PPK. Konstanty has a vast experience in the area of legal-labour aspects of M&A and reorganization connected with employee transfers.

In the scope of chosen projects Konstanty:
  • was responsible for all aspects of preparation and optimal implementation of an accident insurance model during one of the biggest mergers in the energy-mining sector, and as the main legal counsel represented the employer in court,
  • he managed a team and advised in the area of labour law when implementing a HR system for a global leader in the furniture sector,
  • he managed a team and advised in the case of a complicated reorganizational process for one of the leaders in the valve manufacturing sector, including HR aspects, a.i. preparing internal employer,
  • he managed a team and was the main counsel for a client from the energy sector in a dispute with authorities regarding social benefits of Company Social Fund covering about 3 thousand decisions.

Konstanty conducted and supervised several reorganization projects and rendered corporate services for limited liability companies and partnerships. Among others, he helped to set up companies (limited liability companies, private unlimited with share capital, limited partnerships, general partnerships), made changes to company contracts and company deeds, conducted sales of businesses, provided in-kind contributions, mergers (including downstream and international) and transformations, he conducted transactions of share disposal to external entities.

In the scope of chosen experiences, i.a.:
  • he managed a team and offered legal advice in the process of reorganization and transfer of a leading company in the shoe retail market,
  • he advised in the process of a downstream merger with a ltd. company as the one taking over for a significant manufacturer of mining vehicles and one of the global leaders in the sector of valve production.

Konstanty participated as a lecturer in numerous training sessions and webcasts in the field of labour law, he is the author of several publications on this topic, among others for Rzeczpospolita and Gazeta Prawna. He also supported as a labour law and social security expert the Confederation Lewiatan in issuing opinions on amendments to social security law.
